Question Two issues with Thunderbird on KDE Neon Plasma

Presently enjoying the ride on KDE Neon Plasma 6.3.2

Thunderbird is pretty good and much the same as before.

Two "issues would like to resolve:
1. When clicking on a link within a message, the link is opened in default browser but must still go over to the browser to see the page. Wish it could be done automatically. Missing an option to do that?
2. Thunderbird notifications are handy when browsing, but clicking on them does not lead to the said message. Wish it would go over to that message automatically. Missing an option for that too?

More settings anywhere than these?

Let's try to make this clearer...

If Thunderbird is opened first, default browser is still closed;
click on link to this post in email message leads to the browser opening to the post.

If, on the other hand, browser is already open and go to Thunderbird to view the notified message received (which should be automatic imho), clicking on the link does connect to said post, but must go over to the browser manually to see it.

Btw, welcome to the forum!
