Sending my mail from another fm account
I would like my wife to share one of my alias in her mailbox.
I remember I had to generate a password, but I forget the rest of the steps involved....can I still do this or have things changed. |

The easier way to do this is probably to set up another user at your Fastmail account. But this may cost you and may have security issues. I don?t use multiple users so can?t help you with that.
There are two separate issues:
https://www.fastmail.help/hc/en-us/a...dresses#create That should allow you to send using an alias at a different account. But please note that DMARC may not work correctly, depending on the domain of the alias. So message sent using this method may be rejected as spam. This is due to the efforts being spent to prevent senders from faking the From address. To receive messages sent to that alias, you will probably need to create forwarding for that alias at the main account.

I hope it works for you, Terry. I was assuming that you were using Fastmail domains to send. If you own your own domain, you should be able to set it up to send well from either account by appropriate DNS records for that domain. But you can only receive email at one specific server, so you will always need to redirect messages received at the main account to the secondary account.
If anyone has direct experience of doing any of this, I would encourage them to chime in. I have two Fastmail accounts and have experimented a little with this, but it was only an experiment with a few test messages. Bill |
