Do you feel a pain if you have too many mailboxes?

I have 100+ mailboxes all around the world.
I have to login here login there to keep accounts active.
It's somewhat a pain if I do it daily.

Below is a rare email list, but I also have it.

Recently I have paired down the number of mailboxes and addresses I own and life is much better! I understand you enjoy trying out various email services, and I do too, but also I found out it was a chore to keep up with all of them. One thing I did was to forward emails from them to another service that I checked frequently, which would alert me to any service messages from the lesser-used providers. But, overall, my new philosophy is to pair down my used email addresses to the essentials. For one thing, I found it hard to remember which email address was used for what, and when trying to recover an online account you need to know that.

I share your pain. That's why I'm finding a way to consolidate all my accounts which supports IMAP for example into SnappyMail. However I'm looking for alternative where it has a unified inbox (heard that RoundCube has one as plugin).

Besides onmail,
Do you know any free email that can connect
third party accounts via IMAP?
Once outlook/yahoo can do I believe,
But for now they seem to cancel it.

Obviously, Thunderbird and other desktop email clients can do it, and another option is the built-in email client in the Vivaldi browser.

I am using Outlook for Windows 365 (desktop).
I "only" have 27 accounts now. 25 IMAP, 1 POP, & 1 Microsoft Exchange (Hotmail).

A recent "pain" came when using the default check mail group (Send / Receive on all subscribed folders). Outlook would get to 32 of 54 tasks completed and then stop processing.
I don't know why this started or how to troubleshoot it. I would have to reboot to get Outlook working "properly" again.

I ended up setting up a new default which only checks the inboxes and a few alias inboxes. (By "alias inboxes", I mean folders that email with specific headers are filtered into).
Only checking inboxes and not checking subscribed folders for new mail has had the bonus of speeding up the mail check.

I set up another group for my regular test mail that I send out. It checks the folders that the test emails are filtered into. It's a couple extra steps to run the check, but the overall result is much quicker.

If you can program scripts then you could probably automate some or all of the logins. Two ways spring to mind:

1. use "curl" which supports many protocols, certainly POP, SMTP, IMAP

2. use a screen-automation tool, eg AutoIt or AutoHotKey, to run the login processes in your browser - that might be more guaranteed to work than curl, if sites expect/require a browser to be in use.

I currently have ten active accounts, down from a high of around 20. One click checks all 10 plus a local account. All are POP3 accounts, except the local. I use Claws Mail as my client.

Take a look at Zoho it allows to add your external POP3/IMAP but I'm on a basic paid plan now so can't speak for the free plan, you may give it a shot.

Also I was self-hosting SnappyMail however it doesn't have a unified inbox so I'm looking elsewhere. Also heard RC doesn't have it either hence you'll have to switch identity whenever you've multiple accounts (different providers).

I'm assessing Afterlogic WebMail pro now, looking good as it has a unified inbox where I can add all my emails (with IMAP support) and it will show all emails at one place. It even has a mobile UI (similar to SnappyMail) so it will not look ugly on mobile

you may not know, once the isp as large as earthlink and verizon had free emails.
