update - yes, working

After wrestling with it for a while, I'm posting my solution in case it helps anyone else:

1. At the IMAPSize site, https://broobles.com/imapsize/download.php, download and use the "Zipped Upgrade (1.2MB)" version. This is probably where I was going wrong by not using this updated version.

2. In your fastmail account, create an app-specific password for (specifically) IMAP.

3. connection settings:
{your username, including @domain}
{app-specific password}
imap.fastmail.com
993
select SSL

Hope this helps someone else.

This program has proved really useful at times over the years. Its performance remains a key attraction. It is a reflection of the program's quality that it remains a viable and working tool after so many years with virtually zero maintenance.

Thanks very much for posting this thread. I also have used IMAPSize many times in the past with Fastmail. However, I forgot to reinstall it when I moved to a new PC. I wasn’t sure if it still worked, and the new SSL DLL’s may explain why I remember having difficulties using it a couple of years ago. I will now install and use it again.

I used this program quite a bit in the past also. I think I have recommended it more in the past couple years than I have used it.. I'll just have to go jump thru the few hoops (that I highly appreciate!!) to use it again with Fastmail.
