What do you know of mailbox services that have disappeared?

All I know of is everyone.net, and there are a few other small mail service providers. I wonder how many mail service providers used to exist

lavabit went away (or did it come back as a paid-for service?).
myway.com was nice for a while and then left.
lycos.com allowed people to join for email but no longer offer this.

And some people may remember CompuServe.

One more thing about CompuServe:

If you visit the site, CompuServe.com, and click the big golden-brown button on the left side for "CompuServe Mail", that will take you to a Sign-In page for ...... AOL.

compuserve.com is an ISP and bought by AOL, is it? it has also a @cs.com domain.

Maybe still allow activity for cs.com accounts? But anyway, the AOL part of it does not seem to allow for creating another compuserve email account.

Check out the Early Warning discussion for lots of disappeared providers over many years. I wonder if POBox.com is going away?

onebox.com disappeared more than 20 years ago.
Actually they did not disappear. They warned people in advance that they are closing.
There were zillions of mail services that used to exist and then closed.

I think they are going to close POBox but not before moving all their customers to Fastmail.

Gawab

They had a long list of domains to choose from, some of those domains were cities in the Middle East (I remember ramallah.cc to be one of those domains to choose from). Gawab was an Egyptian provider. They received some very good feedback on this forum.

Not sure exactly when they disappeared.
