Smile I am starting an email service, any suggestions appreciated

I am going to set up a small email service, powered by everyone.net for fun. It will be low mb's, and just as a fun hobby.

The name will be susanukf.ac.gs -- so I don't have to worry about legalities... everyone can join!

The end of the domain name will be .ac.gs

All comments will be wonderful as well!! Thanks so much! This was a voting poll, now it can just be advice for me please!!

Thanks, Susan.

Will a mod please erase the poll part and the original topic title to just read: My new email or something?? Please!!!

I think the name "Funmail" is copyrighted...

I feel most for these three

4. emailrocks
5. emailme
6. coolmail

Maybe coolmail will be a success. Susan you setting up your own service. Wow.

Only for family members then or us longtime users of EMD or what. What kind of features are included when you pay them?

25 mb I've heard are a standard? what about pop3 coudl that be an option for free? And what about alias and redirection and sieve and filters and spamprotection?

I guess they have a standard package.

How exciting indeed. You will have no free time from now on.

Trew

PS you have to find somebody good at copyright so you not get fined ro sued on thaousands of money.

If funmail is copyrighttted then most likely also emailrocks
emailme and coolmail are. I remember them from other places.

The email will be just like Killer's -- his is:

http://www.killer.ac.gs

and the email will be all the same, with differnent colours and a different name, but all the same rules and everything. It is hosted by everyone.net, not me myself.

Killer said to choose something that wasn't taken and it was okay??? The end part is ac.gs, does that make a difference???

If anyone knows for sure about all that please tell me!! Thanks. I tried for susan but it was taken, I liked another name but Killer said it was hard to remember. Maybe I need to talk to btn and ask him questions!!

Perhaps I need to just do it with susanukf then. Maybe I should delete the poll and just do that????

Well, I live in Canada, so why would I choose a us name??

I am not hosting it xbot, it will be like 6mb's, just a fun thing, not a business.

Susan, I've changed the title and closed the poll, but there isn't actually a function to delete the poll (without deleting the whole thread)

I would rather have a more universal domain name, not something so country-specific, and I am not an American, so I wouldn't choose an American-specific domain.

Susan, choose something short, simple yet unique.

Choose something that isn't a trademark. But I don't see why you can't choose a trademark since I seen many "unofficial" emails for those trademarks. It would be free advertistments for them and it is for fans and free email.

I liked emailme but I don't want trouble, susanukf is safe!

susan.ac.gs was taken, so susanukf seemed okay. I like safe....
