Four Letter Word Game
I thought we were well overdue for a new game, and I'm bored so here goes.
How to play: Change one letter of the four letter word to make a new word. Rules: 1. You cannot add letters 2. You can only use english 3. You must delete any of the four letters, then insert a replacement letter at one of three locations: the original deleted letter location, before the first letter, or after the final letter 4. You can bump the thread with a new four letter word if static for 1 week or more. 5. You cannot go twice in a row, unless rule 4 applies. 6. No rude words, remember the forum rules! 7. Words may be repeated, but not on same page. 8. You can use names and trademarks if you want to keep the game going and cannot think of anything else First word...... I notice that so far the three letters from the previous word have been kept in the same order. Is that supposed to be implied by rule 3, or just a coincidence?
It's not clear whether it was supposed to mean the above, a simple anagram, or replace one letter in the same place. Last edited by DrStrabismus : 3 Jul 2009 at 11:12 PM. |

I thought changing one letter meant putting a new one in the same position. Then I saw that people put the new letter in a different position, so I don't see how the rule can be interpreted to mean the order of the old letters cannot be changed but the new one can be put in a new location.
Anyway for now I'll keep them in place TOAD |

GOAL
Note that there's no rule saying one cannot just go back to the previous word (or repeat any word previously used). |
