It would seem this email provider is being blocked by American government. For over a month now I tried to sign in, without success. Today I tried going through a proxy. First try using USA proxy failed, second try using Euro-based proxy succeeded. Would be interested to know if others have the same results!

Not connecting from Germany (direct) or UK (via proxy).

If something goes wrong with a site, blame the American government.

Same problem here with no proxy so something must be wrong at their end.

I doubt the US government or any other government is worried about ruggedinbox.
It's a onemanshow with lots of downtime.

Does not explain the fact I could not connect to ruggedinbox.com directly through Google, nor through proxy based in USA, but was able to log in to my account when I went through a Euro-based proxy. Tried again today, and now the Euro-based proxy failed.

Of course professional scoffers are never interested in explanations...only in scoffing.

As I recall, lavabit was pretty much a one-man show, though I don't recall it having much downtime.

I was trying to be somewhat kind. I know of this service from another source.
It has been very unreliable with users waiting a long time for support and communication.
I suspect its more a hobby than a serious service.
