I just logged into 3 different FM accounts that I think are each on different servers (or were) and my OE and FastCheck are working fine here in the US.

A Tracert gets as far as:
Code:
 12 99 ms 98 ms 96 ms nyi.net [198.32.160.87]
before it starts to time out

That's interesting, I'm using NTHell as well. I guess their routing must have screwed up as I have other stuff on the 66.111/24 subnet that I can't access.

Can you actually log in from the http:// start page?

Yes - I can log in over http... I must admit I was reluctant to try but I suppose it's not so terrible (used to do it all the time a couple of years ago)...

I think it's really strange that port 80 works but 443 doesn't... I thought maybe there was some funny redirection - but using telnet directly to the ports I can see that both www.fastmail.fm and www.ftml.net resolve to 66.111.4.55 or 66.111.4.56 alternately, I can connect to both of these IPs on port 80, but not on 443 and of course ping and traceroute fail...

I'm have virgin adsl but I guess its the ntl network...

don't know if theres a similar page for NTL (but I guess it would be the same)
