Angry Virus warning or Junk Mail

Hi,
I received an email from MMauceri@aureo.it saying my computer has sent it a message with a virus. It is in Italian, so I'm not sure exactly what it says. First of all, I haven't emailed anyone at @aureo.it. Second, I looked up the virus it says was attached to the email (which i never sent) - W32.Netsky.B@mm - and the virus only infects Windows systems. I am on a Mac. Is this something to be concerned about, or is this junk mail?

Thanks,
BKB.

Viruses spoof senders, causing unsuspecting, uninvolved people to get the bounces. Same as with spam...

Except ignoring the messages, there's not much you can do, I'm afraid.

Educating mailadministrators to not reply to virus-mails has proven to be more difficoult than one might have expected.

did you want to say that an average user can be more easily educated than mail administrators? that's a nice compliment

I think trond meant to say the average 'Runbox' user.

Well, that's not too hard to understand. Users listen to Administrators, so they're pretty easy to educate. After all: 'They must know what they're talking about'.

Administrators on the other hand probably think their method is the right one (why else would they implement it that way?) and if you're trying to convince them it's not good you're criticising his/her system, something he/her built... That's the problem with elitist nerdiest schmucks. Good to see not ALL admins are like that. Go with the flow, the reed bends in the wind...

oh, tell me about it - being an internal auditor, it really takes a lot of time and energy to try & convince this sort of guys (not necessarily only mail administrators) that not all things in their area - they're supposed to be masters at - works okay
