Hi,

We're not down, but you may be affected by the bandwidth limit issues discussed here today - if you use a lot of Yahoo Groups? I can check if you tell me your username though.

Sherri, no need to scream. The problem is not universal - you seem to have it, and it may well be on your end. My Runbox account works just fine, the whole day.
In either case, the Runbox crew works hard to help and service us, and complaining in a non-constructive way doesn't help. Tone down, please!

Sherri,

Runbox introduced bandwidth quotas today.

You're already over the weekly quota (2.5 GB), but I've decreased your traffic counter so you'll have time to decrease your email intake.

We apologize for the abrupt policy change, but it was absolutely necessary because our hosting provider changed their own pricing policy.

We will implement traffic graphs in the web interface so you can monitor your own usage.

southernbelle2: I've now decreased your traffic counter. Please decrease your email intake so you are sure to stay below 2.5GB per week.

In general Runbox mails have been delayed for most of the day.

I have a program that monitors my personal Runbox account and it shows that in the last two days mail has been delayed a number of times from 1-26 hours. But not as bad as the 47 hour delays from 2 weeks ago.

You can see my results here if you'd like.

Regards,
Rich

Here's the problem - I'm in 20 something Yahoo groups. How do I figure out how many groups runbox can handle now without going over my quota? I think it's very unfair!

ok now i am upset i just renewed my runbox day before yesterday and there was nothing on the renewel page stating this new policy. Also why would i purchase a 3gb account and now it will serve me no useful purpose this is only wednesday and you say i am over quota i have no graph to go by and did not even know about this policy until i did not receive my mail today.
now you are telling me to decrease my e-mail intake i have no clue how much since i belong to 40 yahoo groups and have no idea the amount of mail or size of mail from day to day it varies. I have been with runbox for several years now and have stuck with you through thick and thin and stayed with you because i never had a problem with yahoo group mail now you have changed your policy without sending me any notification. I also know that since i use a pop and smtp to download to my provider i will be using double the usage. I thought i read somewhere where there was going to be adjustments for the size of accounts you have. I just spent 45.00 for something that will be of no use to me anymore. Why can i not split my 3gb account in half and this way i could get double the usage . I am so upset that i was not notified before you took this action and before i renewed my account with you

Sorry, but I have to agree. This is why so many people signed up with Runbox. Because it had the ability to handle large volumes of Yahoo groups. Now we can't do that anymore. I had 2 accounts with Runbox. After the last crash that lasted 3 days, I didn't renew one of them. The other is set to expire in Sept, and I'm seriously considering not renewing that one either.

I have a stupid question here why would someone purchase a 3gb account unless they were expecting to get a lot of e-mail so now with the new quota no one would need that large of an account since it would put them over the quota this is not making any sense to me? Also you stated you adjusted my quota and for me to adjust my e-mail intake so does that mean i will be over quota the rest of the week and not recieve anymore mail? Also in another post they stated that they were going to do quota adjustments for the larger accounts has that already been implemented and when will the graphs be out they should have been out along with the notifications first.

Me too?

Can you please reset my quota also while I leave some of my incredimail and business groups. Trying not to get upset but this would help as I also do business with my runbox account and to be hit with this all at once is not helping :-(
Thank you
Eva Martin

runbox quotas

Well I bought a 3 yr subscription to this service and now I realize why I have received just a few pieces of mail today. I am saddened at this change as I do belong to many yahoogroups and really don't use any other service for collecting all my mail.

Geir could you please check and see if I am at yo0u8r newly stated quota please
colorme is my account.

Thanks
Nicole
