Google Apps now offers more than 30 Gmail account theme choices ranging from weather themes that are customized for your location, to nature themes that change with your timezone, to themes that are just plain fun and funky.

Please note that not all Gmail accounts will have these immediately – we're rolling out Themes right now, and all domains with new features enabled by their admins will see 'Themes' in 'Settings' in the next few days.

And Gmail has introduced something called "Auto Pilot." But it's only in Gmail. I can't see it in Google Apps. Maybe we have to wait til they're 10 years old for that...

HORRAY! I'm so happy about having themes in Google Apps

too bad google can't answer all my emails for me....yet.

So big question: what is google's 5-year anniversary announcement?! (is this it, or is it something else?)

Yes, I've noticed that too. However, none of the other themes blend in as nicely on my customized logo for Google Apps.

On @gmail.com, I was using "Minimalist".

It would be nice if Google would allow us to make our own customized style sheets. Or, at least make them open source so anyone could download and install. Who knows, maybe it's only a matter of time before Firefox comes out with an add-on for this.

^ I'm not entirely sure about this, but Firefox's Better Gmail add-on may let you use a custom style sheet (skin).

They no longer integrate themes/custom stylesheets in that extension.

It's provided as a separate FF Extension - GMail Redesigned

I've experimented with "Better Gmail 2" as described in this thread.

Just now I was googling to see what google's 'big announcement' was yesterday. (to see if there was a *real* cool announcement, or just their april fool's joke)

Turns out CADIE, an artificial intelligence, was supposedly turned on yesterday. Now looking at my post from yesterday, I had written:

And low and behold, look at one of CADIE's abilities:

Among CADIE's abilities: • Gmail Autopilot, which answers your e-mail for you.
It's like google is reading my mind -- or my posts
